Ryan Hegreness, Hegreness Consulting

Ryan Hegreness is a second-generation park and
recreation professional, a nationally respected marketing and communication
strategist, and a local government consultant. He has worked in five states, serving
communities with populations ranging from under 10,000 to nearly 400,000. In
2022, Ryan became the deputy director of business services for the South
Suburban Park and Recreation District, Colorado’s largest park district. He
previously led citywide communication, innovation, and cultural affairs for the
City of Westminster, Colorado, where he also served as operations manager for
parks, recreation, and libraries. Before moving to Colorado, Ryan was the
marketing and enterprise development manager for the City of Arlington, Texas
and assistant director at Essex Junction Recreation and Parks in Vermont. Ryan’s
teams are known for creativity and effectiveness--exceeding revenue
expectations, significantly increasing attendance, and outpacing the engagement
of local and national peers by 300% in his previous three roles.
