Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI)
The next CPSI course will be held March 6-8, 2017 in Overland Park, KS.
Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course
There are an estimated 200,000 playground related injuries reported yearly. National Recreation and Park Association’s Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course is a must for staff from park and recreation agencies, school districts, child care facilities, health departments, landscape architects, playground manufacturers, installers or contractors, insurance firms, consumers and others responsible for play equipment areas or playgrounds.
The Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) course promotes children’s right to play and promotes the importance of play in children’s development. CPSI provides the most current comprehensive training program on playground safety including the development and distribution of playground training and safety products. CPSI provides input to help develop responsible public policy for the guaranteed safety of our children while at the same time advocating sound fiscal responsibility to provide resources for the ongoing maintenance and support of the policy.
Sponsored by the Kansas Recreation and Park Association in cooperation with the National Recreation and Park Association, this course is the most comprehensive training program on playground hazard identification and risk management methods offered. Advanced reading and 15 hours of training prepare participants to sit for the Certified Playground Safety Inspector examination.
