KRPA sees the special challenges that women face within the park and recreation field. Topics that will be discussed are advancing women in their career, professionalism, your executive branding and more. Take a look at our line- up of guest speakers for this event:

MORNING KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Patti Phillips, CEO of Women Leaders in College Sports

Patti Phillips has dedicated her career to coaching, mentoring, and inspiring women at all levels and in all industries. As the CEO of Women Leaders in College Sports—the nation’s premier organization that develops, connects, and advances women working in collegiate athletics—she uses the keen insights she’s gathered from her relationships with search firms, hiring committees, and university presidents to coach up women and help them grow in their careers.

SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: Governor Laura Kelly

Laura Kelly, who is currently the 48th governor of the State of Kansas, was the first executive director of Kansas Recreation and Park Association. She advocated for public parks across the state. She was a leading voice in promoting healthy families and communities and improving the quality of life in Kansas through top-notch parks and recreation services. In earlier jobs, she fought to improve mental health services and helped patients live healthy, more productive lives.

AFTERNOON KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Leah LaHue of Ladybird Styling

Leah LaHue knows that clothing reflects who we are and is our first line of communication with the world around us. Leah will share with us the secret formula for discovering what types of clothes work best for you. This formula affects not only your clothes, but also your creative abilities, how you communicate, how you interact in relationships and more! Once you discover this, "fast fashion" mistakes become a thing of the past and your self-image will transform.

You will not want to miss this event! Complete schedule will be announced soon.
