About the Leadership Intensive Program

Kansas Recreation and Park Association is excited to partner with renowned recreation and park advocate, Ian Hill, to offer a brand-new Leadership Intensive Program.

The Leadership Intensive is an individualized, competency based, leadership development program.  It is designed specifically for those who aspire to be outstanding director-level leaders.  It’s mission is to accelerate the development of Public Sector professionals, equipping them to be “day 1″ ready to assume director and senior leadership positions! Click here to learn more.

Phase 1- Preparation - Establish a Baseline
  • Personal Performance  survey to those you work with and self-evaluation
  • Individual leadership development plan with clearly defined  action plans.
  • Face to Face “launch” to ignite the process (March 7th and 8th)

Phase 2- Education – Learn the leadership approaches the times require.

  • 4 Workshops via live video streaming (one every three weeks)
  • 4 Personal coaching session with Ian Hill (one every three weeks)
  • Weekly reinforcement and motivational emails
  • 2 Accountability performance surveys to gauge progress
  • Weekly personal online journaling, to capture the learning

A Learning Portal containing on-demand video & MP3 archives of all sessions, all materials and support forum for the dynamic exchange of information with other participants. The portal will become an asset to the participant, available for use after the program is complete.

Phase 3-Practical Application – 9 months of supported implementation 

  • 9 User-driven personal coaching sessions with Ian Hill, (once a month)
  • 3 Live workshops via live video streaming (one every three months)
  • Bi-monthly reinforcement and motivational emails
  • 9 Leadership Intensive pod casts, interviews with top Directors & Experts
  • 2 Accountability performance surveys to gauge progress

Meet the Program Developer & Facilitator
